Commenting on the trade figures for March 2012, published today by the ONS, David Kern, Chief Economist at the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), said:

 

The findings of a survey released today (Tuesday) by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) shows that businesses, smaller firms in particular, need more support to trade with high-growth markets. The survey of more than 8,000 businesses suggests that UK exports are held back by a focus on traditional or mature markets at the expense of larger, faster-growing economies.

The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce has launched a dedicated service aimed at providing its Members with detailed information about business and industry throughout the UK, in a bid to help them achieve greater success.

The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce has published its first ever Review of the Month showcasing its success in bringing together Members from across the county’s business community through an array of events, workshops and training courses.

Commenting on the impact of immigration queues on Britain’s trade and tourism potential, John Longworth, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, (BCC) said:

Our next quarterly Members Meeting will be held at Trevithick House, Stafford Park on Friday 18^th May at 8.30am.
