Policy

Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and Representation Committee works closely with the British Chambers of Commerce, the West Midlands Chambers, and local government agencies to lobby on behalf of the membership.

The committee, headed by Nick Chavasse MBE, meets regularly to bring together issues, find common themes and from that endeavour to bring the points raised to the attention of the relevant bodies.

The committee ensures that its members sit on many County committees, as well has having a representative on the West Midlands Policy Group and the BCC National Policy Officers group, which also allows access to the BCC EU team.  This gives the committee both understanding of local business issues as well as being able to bring information into the County on business matters.
