The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is the biggest event ever to be staged in the region and the largest sports and cultural event to be held in the UK for ten years.
Based on evidence from other Commonwealth Games host cities and regions, especially Glasgow and the Gold Coast, we believe that businesses in Birmingham and beyond could benefit from an estimated £300million worth of Games contracts.

We know this is a challenging period for many businesses, which is why we are promoting our search for suppliers, who will play a vital role in the successful staging of these Games. By the end of the year we will have had £145million worth of contracts available for tender in 2020 and we want to ensure that local businesses are aware of these opportunities and are familiar with our procurement processes.
