Emergency First Aid At Work (Delivered by Shropshire Chamber)

A 6 hour First Aid course meeting the requirements laid down in leaflet 74 by the HSE for Emergency First Aid at Work to ensure students leave here with the knowledge skills and confidence to deal with First Aid Situations in their work place.

Course covers the following:

  • What is First Aid.
  • Primary and Secondary Survey.
  • CPR and Use of an AED.
  • Choking.
  • An Overview of Unconsciousness.
  • Wounds and Bleeding.
  • Hypovolemic Shock.
  • First Aid Regulations.

On successful completion of the course students will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification valid for 3 years. They will be able to fulfil the role of a workplace First Aider in those work areas where the Risk assessment says that EFAW is a suitable qualification (9 generally low risk areas).

The following precautions will be in place for this Training to ensure you feel as safe as possible

Temperature check each student
Theory sat 2m apart
Own face cover for manikin
Regular hand washing
Practical with the same person throughout the course
PPE provided.
