Shropshire Chamber launched the 1835 Group at its new offices in Shrewsbury, with attendees enjoying glasses of fizz while being welcomed by Rachel Owen, Relationship Manager at the Chamber, and Amelia Ebdon, Marketing Manager at Network Telecom and Chairperson of this new evolving group.
With the aim of connecting younger employees and business owners across the county, the 1835 Group will host events and talks for those between the ages of 18-35, creating a supportive space to strengthen relationships, expand existing knowledge and be inspired by people from a whole host of industries, skill sets and backgrounds.
Costing just £25 per year to join, the new networking group will be delivering four events annually at interesting venues across the county. Think food, drinks, debate, new friends, activities and maybe even some live music.
Whether you work in an office or outdoors, are Shropshire born and bred or a newbie, own your own business or are part of a team, all are welcome.
Amelia Ebdon said of event, “It was great to see so many faces at our informal launch for the 1835 Group. This new group aims to showcase the great opportunities our county has to offer, help to future proof our business community and make Shropshire somewhere that younger people will want to stay, move to, build their careers and grow.”
“Our first official event will take place at The Shrewsbury Club on 5th December. We hope to see you there!”
