Our 2026 charity of choice is Lingen Davies - Cancer Support.

Lingen Davies Cancer Support is committed to making a truly positive difference for local people impacted by cancer.

As well as fundraising for state-of-the-art kit for patients using the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, the long-running organisation also delivers the LiveLife Cancer Awareness service. By encouraging more conversations about cancer and the importance of recognising the signs and symptoms, the charity strives to contribute to more people seeking an all-important early diagnosis.

Last year Lingen Davies launched its biggest appeal to date - the £5million Sunflower Appeal to enhance cancer services across the region through the development of the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre at Telford's Princess Royal Hospital.

The new Centre will be up and running by 2029 - a finish line coinciding with the charity's 50th birthday - and will double the provision of chemotherapy across the region meaning people will be able to access the care they need, where they need, quicker.

While we cannot eradicate cancer, together we can make life easier for those who are going through it, as well as those supporting a loved one through their journey.
