A look at Employers and Employees duties in regard to Health and Safety in order to: Understand Roles and Responsibilities for Health and Safety How do Risk Assessments contribute to Health and Safety How to identify and control risks from common workplace Hazards Procedures for responding to accidents and incidents in a workplace.
This course is designed to give students a basic overview of the requirements of Health and Safety legislation.
On completion of the course students should have a better understanding of their responsibilities under Health and Safety legislation. An understanding of the definition of Hazard and Risk along with the ability to understand what a risk assessment is made up of and why it is important. Students should be able to identify common workplace hazards and suggest possible control measures.
