Smiley Faces Day Nursery Ltd is a purpose built nursery set within its own grounds just off the Holyhead Road (B5061) and near junction 7 of the M54 motorway
It is situated on the same campus as Shortwood Primary School, with a connecting footpath to Ercall Wood Technology College
The nursery opened in September 2004 and has a well qualified , committed and established staff team
The outdoor area comprises of two areas, one has hard and soft area for riding bikes etc., sandpit, outdoor painting and chalking boards on the fence and the other area is grassed with a ‘telly tubby’ hill for rolling down, a giant’s story telling chair, a pergola for shade, a play house and a bamboo ‘jungle’ and an area where children can just run and feel free
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and has been awarded Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)
The nursery takes very seriously children’s health. All the meals are prepared using fresh ingredients with no added salt, and the nursery has been awarded a food hygiene rating of 5
The nursery can have 50 children aged between 3 months and 5 years at any one time, divided between 3 age appropriate well resourced rooms
The safety of children is paramount and the grounds in which we are situated provide excellent safety and security giving peace of mind to our families
