This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the responsibilities of
employers; the main causes and costs of work-related fatalities, injuries and ill-health; the
role of risk assessment in the prevention of accidents and ill-health; the requirements of a
risk assessment; a process for undertaking a risk assessment; and a method to evaluate
risk.
This course covers the following:-
- Understanding why risk assessments are necessary for maintaining and improving standards of health and safety at work
- Understanding the principles of risk assessment
How is the course assessed:-
- This qualification is assessed via multiple choice question examination, where the learner must answer at least 9 out of 15 questions correctly.
Delegates have the option of sitting the IOSH accrediatation as part of this course. There is a supplement charge of £50 plus VAT for the IOSH accreditiation. Please contact the training team training@shropshire-chamber.co.uk to arrange the IOSH accrediatation.
