Start Tech is a Managed Service Provider offering full-service IT support and cyber security from their base in Shrewsbury.

This year they have begun offering their services free of charge to Little Stars. Little Stars is a charity which gives vulnerable families in Shropshire a helping hand. Their support ranges from baby packs with hospital essentials to pre-loved baby and children’s clothing, and from essential equipment and pre-loved school uniforms to new presents so every child has something to open at Christmas.

Start Tech not only looks after their IT needs, but the team also supports Little Stars in other ways. For example, Start Tech staff are given volunteer days to give back to the local community, and some of the team choose to spend those days helping at the Little Stars’ base. The team has also donated baby and children’s clothes, and proceeds from the company snack box go to Little Stars each month.

Ian Groves, Managing Director at Start Tech, said: “Little Stars is a fantastic, local charity that we are very proud to support. Leanne and her team work incredibly hard to provide vital support which helps vulnerable families all over Shropshire.

“At Start Tech we give back to our community as much as we can, and when we heard what Little Stars were doing we wanted to give them a helping hand, just like they do.

“We provide our full-service IT package, which means Little Stars has a fully cyber-secure system, we’ll support any growth within the charity, and there will always be a friendly team at the end of the phone whenever they need us.

“The work of Little Stars is very inspiring, and we hope more local businesses can support them too.”

Start Tech has also supported Brightstar Boxing Academy for the last 2 years. The team of 24 benefits from their full set of services free of charge. Brightstar is a not-for-profit organisation that uses boxing and education to empower vulnerable people to make positive changes to transform their lives.
