Business support and help with growth is now on offer to manufacturing SMEs in the Shropshire Council area through the Shropshire Manufacturing Growth Programme.

Run by Oxford Innovation Advice on behalf of Shropshire Council, this programme, funded by UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), provides business support services to help SMEs to grow by identifying, understanding and removing their barriers to growth.

The programme aims to support SME manufacturing businesses in understanding there short, medium and long term improvement goals, while helping them create obtainable outcomes such as improved productivity, competitiveness, sustainability, job creation or adopt new products or services through the use of digital adoption.

Support tailored to your manufacturing SME business with access to:

  • A dedicated, experienced Manufacturing Growth Manager (MGM) who will provide on-going support
  • A comprehensive business diagnostic tool specifically designed for manufacturers – GROWTHmapper
  • Identify opportunities and create plans for growth and improvement
  • Work with the best external experts to implement those plans.
  • Cover 40% of the cost with grant funding to implement an improvement project
  • Connect to wider support to maximise opportunities for growth
