Diverse Perspectives Sought for Community Foundation Board

The Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Shropshire is actively seeking new trustees to join its Board. The Community Foundation would like to increase perspectives from underrepresented groups to help enrich discussion, guide strategy and ensure excellent governance.

As community leaders, trustees support the core purpose of improving lives across Staffordshire and Shropshire. They oversee legal compliance, risk and more while being able to avoid day-to-day operations.

Applicants from all walks of life are strongly encouraged to apply, regardless of trustee experience. Comprehensive training and support is provided.

The Community Foundation wants trustees who can think innovatively, communicate thoughtfully, advance equity and inclusion, and share our passion for community impact. Trustees uphold the charity's values and integrity in public service.

Duties include legal/financial oversight, strategy input, risk management, executive support, committee service, and promoting the Foundation.

The voluntary role requires:

4 yearly Board meetings

4 yearly committee meetings

2 annual strategic planning events

We welcome fresh outlooks from any background to steer the Community Foundation towards an inclusive future for Staffordshire and Shropshire. Please get involved!
