• M54 Road Maintenance - Planned Closures

From Friday 16 February until Monday 22 April National Highways will be carrying out maintenance work on the M54 through Shropshire.

National Highways will  be resurfacing the carriageway and replacing crash barriers on a bridge between junctions three (Cosford) and four (Telford services) on the M54 and improving drainage between junctions six and seven at Wellington.

It is expected that both carriageways of the road will be shut at times during the work, with closures limited to weekends and overnight periods. Diversions will be in place using the A5 and A41 for the work around Shifnal, and through the town centre in Wellington.
