This course has been developed to detail the requirements placed on the duty holder and those responsible for the day to day management of asbestos.

• Legal Responsibilities
• Properties of asbestos;
• Types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and ACMs in buildings;
• Health issues in relation to asbestos exposure;
• Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 – the duty to manage;
• The duty-holder and their responsibilities;
• The development and monitoring of an Asbestos Management Plan;
• The implementation of safe working procedures;
• Assessing the condition of ACMs and prioritising actions;
• Implementation of management actions;
• The selection and monitoring of contractors.

If required a short end of course test can be completed by delegates.

A course certificate will be issued.
