The Alliance of Leading Learning are holding a FREE open event on Thursday 28th January 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at the Marches School in Oswestry.
This event opens our door to the local community giving anyone the opportunity to come and see our training facility in the heart of Oswestry. The event aims at raising awareness of the outstanding facility and what training we offer for the teaching and local community.
Teacher Training
The Alliance of Leading Learning is one of the most experienced providers of teacher training in the West Midlands, boasting over twenty years of innovative and successful programmes.
The Alliance makes up the professional training arm of the Marches Academy Trust, a growing Trust which currently supports ten schools across Shropshire. The Alliance of Leading Learning working with the Shropshire and Telford Education Partnership combines in-depth knowledge and joint enterprise to remain at the forefront of developing the highest quality of teacher training.
If you are thinking about a career in teaching, come and see us on the 28th January. We can offer teacher training opportunities available across Early Years, Primary and Secondary phases of education. If you are an existing teacher we will also be available to talk to you about programmes available to enhance your teaching role and ways to support you have lasting impact on children and young people.
Claire Jones, responsible for coordinating the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) said; “Our open day will be a great opportunity for anyone to come along and meet the team involved in ITT and National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). It will be a fantastic chance for prospective trainees to have an informal chat about how they might get into teaching, or if they are already working in education, we can provide advice about the programmes available to help them progress into a leadership role”.
Community Training / Facilities
As well as our facility being used by educational providers the ALL team also has fantastic facilities available to local businesses. We provide a range of training that is available to local businesses. This includes First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Safety, Defib and Safeguarding Training. The advantage of using the Alliance for these short courses is that training is delivered locally at reasonable prices. We have many local organisations using our training including Allenby Douglas, Hope House, National Trust and many local primary schools.
Alongside this our lovely well-furnished rooms are available for hire.
Helen Lloyd who overseas the training offer and room hire adds she “will be happy to see anyone interested in finding a facility for meetings or training. We will also have on hand some of our trainers who will be able to advise you on the different courses we can deliver”.
Why Come and See Us?
As well as giving us an opportunity to show off what we do for the local community we will be entering every attendee into a free prize draw. The prizes will include a free first aid course and a voucher.
