Clickingmad Ltd has continued its support for Sympho, the charity linked to Shropshire Music Service, with a donation presented at the Shropshire Music Service Winter Concert on Saturday 13 December 2025.

The donation forms part of Clickingmad’s 25 in 25 Acts of Kindness initiative, which sees the company marking its 25th year in business by actively supporting charities and community projects across Shropshire.

The presentation took place during the Winter Concert celebrations, with a photograph showing Shaun Carvill, Managing Director of Clickingmad, alongside Chloe Jones from Sympho, joined by young musicians Holly Davies and Harry Turner as they received the cheque.

Shaun Carvill said the partnership reflects a belief that businesses have an important role to play in supporting opportunities for young people across the county.

“Music education delivers far more than musical skills. It builds confidence, discipline, teamwork and resilience, qualities that serve young people throughout their lives. Through our 25 in 25 Acts of Kindness, we wanted to support causes that create long term impact, and Sympho does exactly that.”

Sympho works to remove financial barriers to music education by funding bursaries, supporting instrument hire, enabling ensemble participation and delivering outreach projects. These initiatives ensure that children from all backgrounds can access the benefits of music making, regardless of circumstance.

Research consistently shows that music education supports wellbeing, mental health and social development. Children involved in music often demonstrate improved focus, stronger communication skills and greater self belief, outcomes that benefit schools, families and the wider community.

Chloe Jones from Sympho thanked Clickingmad for its support, highlighting the real difference business involvement can make.

“Support from local businesses allows us to reach more children across Shropshire. Donations like this directly translate into opportunities for young people to learn, perform and grow through music.”

Shaun encourages other businesses to consider how they can support Sympho, whether through funding, partnerships or practical involvement. Collective support from the local business community plays a vital role in ensuring music education remains accessible and sustainable for future generations.

"After all, we all need staff who are focussed, disciplined and can work as part of a team". Shaun said.

The Winter Concert itself was a powerful demonstration of what this support helps achieve, showcasing talented young musicians and the positive impact of investment in music education.

Businesses interested in supporting Sympho are encouraged to explore how they can get involved and help make a lasting difference for children across Shropshire.
