A Shropshire company is looking after the physical and mental health of its employees with support from Paycare.

The team at Cedo, who specialise in supplying leading retailers with consumer household products such as clingfilm and refuse sacks, have been Policyholders for more than 15 years.

They have also been making use of the mental health training offering from Paycare.

HR Advisor Jenny Dulson explains: “Cedo has recently participated in the free e-clinics and on the back of this, we arranged for bespoke wellbeing sessions for our teams to help support them, and initiate our own wellbeing policy.

“Paycare has allowed us to effectively support employees with healthcare costs, and has enabled us to support employees requiring optical tests and eyecare solutions as part of their role – whilst reducing our administration time.

“The Employee Assistance Programme has enabled us to signpost many employees to effective and professional advice and support; we have been advised by employees that it has helped them through tough times and helped them to remain at work.

“The access to private healthcare solutions such as a consultations and scans has helped a number of employees and their families reduce waiting times, and crucially reduced diagnosis and treatment times.”

Jenny added the variety of communications offered from Paycare to promote their policy benefits also helped Cedo to effectively manage and promote the policy without any huge administrative input.

“Our employees generally are happy with the Paycare scheme and feel it is a good benefit to have for themselves and their family members. Our Account Manager Simon Cater and also the Wellbeing Team have always been available to help and support us, particularly during the last 12 months where we have faced particular challenges. The Paycare team are always professional, helpful and caring in their approach.”

For Cedo, there are a number of important considerations relating to their employee health and wellbeing including: supporting employees, creating a healthy and happy workforce, and engaging and retaining their staff.

Jenny concludes: “Paycare is a great solution for businesses wanting to use a local, ethical and highly effective Health Cash Plan scheme and we would definitely recommend. Paycare always make us feel like a valued customer.”
