I am a Founder / Director, NED, and leadership advisor with experience grounded in high-impact executive roles and whole-system leadership. My career has been shaped by leading complex public and private sector organisations through challenge, change and transformation. As Chief Executive of a large unitary Council, Executive Director for Adult Social Care, Public Health & Housing, and regional chair/national lead: ADASS , I have operated at the intersection of politics, operations and public expectation; supporting organisations to make sound decisions under pressure, while keeping focus on delivery and accountability.

Now operating across digital strategy, growth planning and operational optimisation for ambitious UK-based businesses, I continue this work through two complementary strands:

First, Vekta Limited, my process mining platform. The software enables organisations to see their workflow in real time. By animating how work actually moves through a system, Vekta allows leaders to identify bottlenecks, resolve inefficiencies and improve productivity using objective evidence. Applicable to all business sectors, it reflects my belief that good leadership starts with understanding the system you are trying to change.

Second, through my professional advisory work, I support leaders and boards as a NED, fractional executive, and systems specialist. I help organisations translate complexity into clarity, turn strategy into action and build confidence in decision-making at the highest level. My book ‘I Didn’t Row the Atlantic #sowhat’ captures my philosophy: leadership is not defined by grand gestures, but by curiosity, thoughtful learning and purposeful improvement.

I continue to explore the intersections of leadership, technology and purpose — building systems, tools and ideas that help people think, learn and lead more intelligently.
