Cyber security can often feel overly technical, particularly for businesses that outsource some or all of their IT. This practical and interactive session is designed to help business owners, managers and employees better understand the cyber risks facing their organisation, how common cyber attacks happen, and the practical steps businesses can take to reduce their risk.
The session will cover the fundamental areas of business cyber security, including identity and access, devices, networks, data, backups, people and incident response.
Cyber Essentials will also be introduced as a recognised security baseline, including the five Cyber Essentials controls, the difference between Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, and some of the common issues businesses encounter when working towards certification.
The emphasis will be on practical knowledge that delegates can take away and apply within their own organisation.
