• UKSPF Upskilling Project

Both our Upskilling programmes are designed to help individuals upskill to have the right knowledge and skills to drive economic growth within their organization and create new jobs. With the right training, employees and business owners can gain skills and knowledge required to perform their roles more effectively, keeping up with market demands and boosting productivity. This helps create a highly skilled workforce that is better equipped to perform and could improve productivity by at least 10%.

Effective leadership is critical in navigating this environment and driving growth. Leaders who embrace change and possess the skills to leverage technology, promote creativity, and improve organisational performance are essential. The development of leadership skills is key to retaining talent and enhancing the competitiveness of businesses in Shropshire.

Upskilling staff is a great way for businesses to attract and retain top talent. It allows employees to gain new skills, become more valuable assets, and assume additional responsibilities. It can also boost productivity and make businesses more agile and resilient, ensuring their longevity. Companies that actively upskill their staff through training have a clear market advantage when recruiting.

Active Leadership Programme

The application window for this Programme is now closed. We are still accepting applications for our other short upskilling courses though, available until February 2025, so why not take a look (All fully funded courses have UKSPF in the title).

A 5-day Leadership programme designed to upskill existing managers, leaders, and business owners to become better leaders, improving decision making abilities and creating growth. The programme is worth £4,500 per individual and includes 3 Hours of 1-2-1 coaching, all fully funded for eligible businesses.

Creating better leaders drives improved ways of working and enables enhanced business performance. Most business leaders would benefit from development in three key areas: Understanding ‘Me’ as a Leader, Managing for Results, Leading for the Future. These three modules form the core of the Active Leadership Programme and will be supported by activities to enable leaders to embed their learning within their roles.

Please note: This programme involves some short pre-course work before each of the five days (up to 1 hour each), printing of workbooks, and completion of follow up questionnaires (up to two years post course completion) to enable us to assess the impact of the training on the business and the individual.
