About the Event:
In the build-up to the General Election, we’re holding a business hustings panel debate to explore the economic policies of the main parties.
Join us in the audience as we quiz candidates from the Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green and Reform parties in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin on some of the key issues in our Going For Growth manifesto, including:
• Business rates and planning reforms
• Training and skills development
• Infrastructure and connectivity
• International trade
• Sustainability and energy
The Question Time-style panel will be chaired by TV/radio host and Shropshire Business magazine editor Carl Jones – and there will be plenty of opportunity for audience participation.
Why Attend?
As a politically neutral membership organisation, we want to provide a forum to find out if candidates understand what it takes to create the economic conditions required for Shropshire businesses to thrive.
The event will also be filmed for Shropshire Business Live TV, and members of the print and broadcast media will also be in attendance.
