Following feedback from businesses through our Account Managers, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is bringing together representatives from across the health and social care sector for an initial discussion about the challenges, opportunities and support needs facing organisations across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
This first meeting is an opportunity to listen, share ideas and explore whether there are gaps where the Chamber could add value by bringing people and organisations together.
We want to work with those already involved in the sector to understand what support, connections or activities would be genuinely useful, while recognising and complementing the valuable work already being undertaken by existing organisations and partnerships.
What will we be discussing?
We would welcome your thoughts on:
- Current challenges: What are the biggest issues facing businesses and organisations working in health and social care?
- Existing support: What networks, partnerships and initiatives are already working well?
- Gaps and opportunities: Are there areas where greater collaboration, connections or support would be beneficial?
- Working together: Which organisations and partners should be involved in future discussions?
- The Chamber's role: Where could Shropshire Chamber use its connections, business support services and policy representation to make a positive difference?
Who should attend?
- We welcome representatives from across the wider health and social care sector, including healthcare providers, domiciliary and residential care, mental health services, recruitment, training, professional services and organisations supporting the sector.
- We are particularly keen to involve existing sector networks, representative bodies and strategic partners to ensure that any future activity complements rather than duplicates the work already taking place.
Help shape what happens next
This is an exploratory discussion, not a commitment to establish a new group. We want to hear directly from those working in the sector before deciding whether any additional Chamber-led activity would be valuable.
Your feedback will help us understand where we can best contribute, whether through facilitating connections, supporting collaboration, highlighting business challenges or representing the sector's needs through our policy work.
Join us for an afternoon of conversation and help shape how we can work together to support the future of health and social care across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
We look forward to hearing your views.
