Welshpool Printing Group are set to further expand in the second half of this year with an investment in new printing technology and the creation of new positions.


Signage & Graphics Expansion
Expansion of the signage and graphics side of the printing business has already began with the installation of a new Mimaki JFX200-2513 EX UV flatbed printer.


This new machine can print directly onto a huge range of materials including Acrylics, Polycarbonates, PVC, Glass, Aluminium, Metal, Polyester, Foam board, Styrene, Wood and even Stone!


Welshpool Printing Group have seen demand for their large format and bespoke print grow hugely in the last few years.


Paul Jones, Joint MD says “The success of our signage department is partly due to how widely we diversified our business during the pandemic and being available to supply the Covid signage that businesses needed. From there, we have become known just as well for our large format as our litho and digital print. This new investment will allow us to take on an even wider variety of projects, increase our capacity and turn work around much quicker.”


New 8 Colour Komori Litho Press


We have also secured the purchase of a new 8 colour litho press that is due for installation this month. This new investment will enable us to expand our capacity even further to meet the growing demand.


These expansion plans also involve new job opportunities with the taking on of new staff.


Ian Jones, Joint MD says “We are looking for new people to join our team at WPG. There are several opportunities from experienced printers to trainee postions. Our main objective is to find enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude to work who are looking to continue or begin a career in print.”
