Interested in becoming a firefighter, but want to know more?

Shropshire Fire and Rescue will be recruiting wholetime firefighters in 2024 and have organised a series of taster sessions so you can try out the practical tests, speak to firefighters and learn more about the application process. 

What will be included in the session? 

The session will provide you with an overview of the role, meet some operational firefighters, understand the process for recruitment and training, look at equipment and undertake a taste of some of the job related tests and most importantly the opportunity to ask any questions you may have!  

These tasters allow you to consider if this is the job for you and whether you would like to apply for a post with us in the future. 

The session will last around 3 hours at our Headquarters in Shrewsbury.
