Foodbanks across the Midlands have benefitted from the generosity of a not-for-profit Health Cash Plan provider.

Corporate Account Managers Stephen Burton-Pye and Simon Cater from Paycare have been busy buying items and distributing them to a total of five organisations in Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.

These included: The Basement Project in Bromsgrove, House of Bread in Stafford, Shrewsbury Food Hub, Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank, and Telford Crisis Support.

The pair said: “Paycare has a long history of giving to those in need, and this includes practical items as well as sponsorship and cash donations. Christmas is a whirlwind of excess, shopping and gifts – it’s unimaginable for many to be spending the festive season wondering how to feed your family.

“That’s why we wanted to focus on giving to foodbanks in the run up to the holidays, hopefully this will mean a slightly brighter December for a few people across the Midlands as they are able to access the very basics that they need.

“We’d encourage anyone who can to pick up a few extra items with their Christmas shopping and donate them to others in need.”

Paycare’s Commercial Director Anthony Burns added he was extremely proud of Stephen and Simon’s actions in supporting some of the most vulnerable members of society.

“Stephen and Simon have shown the true Paycare spirit – we’re all about making the UK happier and healthier, and by going above and beyond to deliver these parcels across the Midlands, they really will have made a difference to families in the region.”
