As part of Volunteers Week, the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust (IGMT) is set to host an informative drop-in session aimed at promoting corporate volunteering opportunities for local businesses.
The event will take place on Wednesday 5th June from 12pm - 1pm at the Glass Classroom of the IGMT Offices, located next to Enginuity (TF8 7DQ).
The session will provide businesses with insights into how their teams can engage with IGMT, either through their employees' annual volunteering days or team-building volunteering activities.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with IGMT staff, ask questions about the volunteering process, and learn more about the impactful work being done across the museums.
IGMT are a registered charity, designated UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest independent museums globally; overseeing 10 museums, 35 scheduled monuments, and over 400,000 objects.
In addition to the information session, participants are invited to enjoy a guided tour of the Old Furnace in Coalbrookdale, a historic site recognised as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
This tour will offer a unique glimpse into the region's rich industrial history.
Businesses interested in attending or seeking more information about corporate volunteering opportunities can contact Zoe Baxter at
