Local business owner, Kellie Green, owner of Mini First Aid Shropshire, Mini First Aid Herefordshire and Worcester and Mini First Aid Wolverhampton and Director of RJF First Aid Limited is announced as MULTIPLE award winner in the UK wide Female Business Awards.
Kellie’s two awards from this event have now been added to multiple finalist awards and another 2 winner awards! For a business owner who has only been running since Feb 2022, this is quite the achievement!
Kellie Green has just returned from the Female Business Awards gala celebration evening, held in Manchester. The Female Business Awards are now in their 3rd year and recognises the successes and achievements of female-led small businesses across the UK.
This year over 600 small businesses were nominated across 15 categories, of which Kellie received two big wins. Mini First Aid Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcester and Wolverhampton was confirmed the winner of direct sales/ franchise business category and the company she is the director of - RJF First Aid Limited - was confirmed as the Winner in the Growth Business category.
The judging panel considers a wide variety of aspects of each nominee, including marketing and social media activity, client testimonials and reviews, as well as the owners' passion and enthusiasm for their industry, clients and business. This means that those making it through to the Finals have shown a high level of service, client satisfaction and expertise. And to be announced as Winner is even more fantastic, showing the impact that Kellie is having.
Kellie said: “To be nominated in two categories was an honour, but to WIN both these categories took my breath away. I started my first MFA franchise (Mini First Aid Shropshire) up in 2022 when my little girl was just a baby, I didn't want to return full time to my job as a paediatric A&E nurse and thought joining the Mini First Aid Team was perfect. Little did I know that just over two and a half years later I would have left the NHS, be the VERY proud owner of THREE Mini First Aid franchises, but also go on to create a limited company and become the director of RJF First Aid Limited (named after my grandad)
Being a winner in these two categories means the absolute world to me, to win direct sales/ franchise business recognised the work my three Mini First Aid franchises have done and continue to do. And to win the category for growth meant that I was now also being recognised for all the hard work and determination I have put into growing my businesses. I feel that the sheer substantial growth in my Mini First Aid franchises, including classes Offered, classes delivered and uptake of these, coupled with becoming a limited company this year and becoming the director of RJF First Aid Limited shows a powerful and determined growth and success in just under 3 years.
Within my Mini First Aid franchises we train families, workforces and children in first aid. We train in schools and nurseries, and we offer diverse and inclusive training and create a supportive and positive environment. Whilst RJF First Aid Limited has been a pivotal move in my career path, I hope to compliment and expand RJF First aid Limited with my Mini First Aid franchises to offer other forms of training such as adult mental health first aid for the workplace and face to face interactive safeguarding training to mention just a few.
The Awards ceremony was held at the Victoria & Albert Marriot Hotel in Manchester on the 15th November 2024, with Finalists from across all categories in attendance, along with their supporters and guests. Kellie continues: "the event was phenomenal and very well organised. It was a night to come together with other business owners and celebrate each other, our achievements and any wins were a bonus! being part of that room as a finalist was incredibly humbling, but to then go on to be the ultimate winner in my two categories floored me. I have walked away with more confidence and determination to succeed and help others”
Female Business Awards co-host Janine Friston (who also runs online and in-person networking groups with her business, the Female Business Network), said: "We are thrilled to confirm this year's award finalists and winners, who have clearly made a positive difference and impact to their clients and audience. Our vision with the Female Business Awards is to recognise and celebrate those female-led small businesses who are often forgotten about in other awards. Female business owners often set up and run their businesses around other responsibilities, such as younger children, and so desire and need the flexibility that running their own business can provide. Being able to showcase some of these amazing business owners is fantastic."
Kellie is looking to use this recognition as a springboard in her business and hopes to reach new audiences and be able to support more people as a result.
