The Ironbridge Half Marathon is back for 2025 and thanks to the generosity of the Telford Harriers, Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust (IGMT) has 20 exclusive places available, enabling participants to take on a unique challenge whilst supporting the vital work of the Trust. By joining Team IGMT, participants can set themselves a New Year challenge while raising money to support the Trust’s heritage, conservation, and education work. Registration for the event is £25, with a minimum fundraising target of £100.
The half marathon starts and finishes at Telford Town Park Arena and takes runners through the stunning Ironbridge Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing several of the Trust’s museums along the way, including the historic Coalport China Museum. This event is open to participants aged 18 and over and is organised by the Telford Harriers.
Every day, it costs the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust £15,000 to operate its ten museums, conserve historic buildings, and deliver educational programmes that share the rich history of the Gorge with future generations. By running for Team IGMT, participants will play a vital role in helping to preserve this extraordinary site and its heritage.
Places are limited, so those interested are encouraged to sign up soon. Be inspired by the chance to run through one of the UK’s most iconic landscapes and make a real difference to the work of the Trust.
