The HBC Biocell – an innovative aerobic digestion system that turns liquid manure into a pasteurised bedding alternative – has won bronze at the 2025 LAMMA Innovation Awards in the category Livestock Innovation of the Year!
Provided by T-T in partnership with agricultural manufacturer Cri-Man, there are now three HBC’s installed across the UK, providing cost-saving and environmental benefits to dairy farmers by facilitating the use of slurry as a replacement for traditional livestock bedding.
As annual attendees of LAMMA, the T-T Agricultural and Environmental team were ecstatic to hear the news of our bronze award. The yearly LAMMA Innovation Awards are a way of recognising and rewarding innovations and advances within the UK agricultural industry, and we here at T-T feel very strongly that the HBC is leading the way in sustainable livestock bedding alternatives.
Senior Agricultural Sales Engineer Rob Lowe commented:
“A lot of hard work has gone into the HBC project in the UK over the past few years with constant support from the team at Cri-Man. It is great to see this innovative system getting the credit it deserves.
“The HBC gives farmers the opportunity to revolutionise their day-to-day slurry handling needs, with the benefits of eliminating beddings costs with a pasteurised fibre bedding and reducing storage and handling costs.”
