We are excited to announce the launch of the Shropshire Wellbeing and Resilience Support (SWaRS) service. This new service utilises the Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) model.

Our workplace SWaRs support focuses on preventing burnout, managing stress, and addressing exposure to trauma. It is important to recognise that everyone responds to traumatic experiences differently, and the emotions experienced in such situations are entirely normal; it is the nature of the stressful experience that is atypical.

Identifying those who may be more vulnerable to experiencing trauma is challenging, as evidence is not conclusive and our psychological responses are complex, varying greatly among individuals.

At SWaRS, our team consists of compassionate, highly trained non-medical practitioners who understand the effects of traumatic events and ongoing stress on individuals. They offer confidential listening, practical advice, self-help information, and additional support through Shropshire Mental Health Support.
