Telford-based transport company Above & Beyond Travel is celebrating an incredible achievement after taking home two major awards at the prestigious European Innovation Awards—Entrepreneur of the Year and Fastest Growing Business.

Founded in October 2023 by local entrepreneur Kayleigh Parsons, Above & Beyond Travel was created in response to the lack of compassionate, reliable transport options for individuals with special educational needs (SEN) and their families. Drawing from lived experience, Kayleigh launched the company with no outside investment—funding the operator's licence by selling her motorbike and receiving backing from a supportive friend.

Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. In just over a year, Above & Beyond has grown to a team of eleven and now provides a range of transport services across the region, including:

  • SEN school transport
  • Airport transfers
  • Corporate travel

“What sets us apart is that we genuinely care,” says Kayleigh. “Many of our team have direct experience with SEN and additional needs, and that empathy runs through everything we do.”

The awards come at a time of continued growth, with plans to expand to over 100 drivers in the coming years, while keeping sustainability at the heart of operations—including the transition to electric vehicles.
