It’s the 25th anniversary of the Shropshire business awards this year – and Shropshire Business magazine is publishing a special commemorative 100-page magazine to mark the occasion.
With the help of a photographic archive dating back to early 2001, the magazine takes a photographic journey through the winners, the fashions, the fun and the star-studded line-up of guest speakers.
It includes more than 350 pictures, including a fascinating photographic reminder of how the event started, in a giant marquee at Weston Park.
The magazine also features personal recollections and favourite memories from some of the people who have been involved in organising the awards over the years – from leaky pens and power cuts to unexpected celebrity lookalikes, and much more.
Carl Jones, editor of Shropshire Business magazine who has been involved in hosting the awards every year, said: “It’s been fascinating, and quite emotional, to look back through the archives – stirring up some wonderful memories.”
The magazine will be circulating round the county over the next few weeks, and e-copies will also be available to download from the Shropshire Business website.
