Each year Cuan Wildlife Rescue hold an Open Day & Dog Show - it is the only day of the year that the public can enter their wildlife hospital to see all the animals and birds in their care! Very often, babies are being fed, lots of different species are available for you to see, and you can even ask the Wildlife Care Assistants questions about the work that they do. This year, the Open Day is on Saturday 26th July, from 10am until 5pm. There is plenty of parking available on site.
Once you have toured the wildlife hospital, you can visit their outside aviaries and hedgehog houses within the grounds and talk to their team, and outside in their field they have a wonderful selection of retail and charity stalls for you to browse through, food and drink outlets, ice cream, cake stall/refreshments, face painting and balloon modelling, bouncy castle and assault course - and a wonderful Dog Show ran by Telford Pet Services. The Dog Show has 15 classes to enter throughout the day and is incredibly popular! You can register your dogs in advance to save queueing on the day - visit their website for details - https://cuanwildliferescue.org.uk/ and click Events, Open Day, for full details.
This is their biggest fundraising event of the year - and the busiest - and helps them to raise much needed funds to ensure they can keep rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing British wildlife. Entry is just £5 per person, with under 10's entering for free! Come along to see what they do and how hard their wildlife hospital staff work to help all the patients that come into their care.
Location: Cuan Wildlife Rescue, Stretton Road, Much Wenlock, TF13 6DD - there will be lots of signposts nearer the time to show you where to go.
