As the oly charity dedicated soley to nature conservation in Shropshire, Shropshire Wildlife Trust plays a vital role in protecting and restoring the county's wild places. With 50 staff and 300 volunteers, the Trust is behind some exciting recent developments, including the opening of a new nature reserve at Betchcott Hill (in partnership with Shrewsbury Town Council) and the release of beavers to the Old River Bed.
With a turnover approaching £4m and growing financial complexity, the Trust is now looking for another finance specialist to join its board of trustees.
The ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant with experience at senior management level in a business of at least comparable size, passionate about supporting nature and conservation (charity experience is a bonus but not essential)
This is a voluntary role, requiring attendance at eight board meetings per year.
