A self-confessed “Shropshire lass” has returned to her roots to bolster a county law firm’s private client team.
Nyrée Grevett has joined Lanyon Bowdler’s Telford office after working at a firm in the Black Country, helping people with wills, estate planning and lasting powers of attorney.
She said was enjoying being back in her home county, and the team at Lanyon Bowdler had made her feel very welcome.
“I have lived in Shropshire since I was a year old, and consider myself to be a Shropshire lass,” Nyrée said. “My primary motivation for moving back to practice in Shropshire was to service the clients in my own community again.
“I genuinely love meeting with clients; learning about their lives, families and their motivations. I like providing a personalised, bespoke service, and producing individual solutions and documents to suit my clients’ needs.
“You are never too young to prepare a will - life happens and it’s so important to ensure your wishes are carried out and your family’s future is provided for.
“Many people worry that writing a will is a sad or morbid thing to do, but we often find clients feel a deep sense of satisfaction once everything is decided - it can really be a weight off your mind.”
Edward Rees, head of Lanyon Bowdler’s private client team, said Nyrée was a welcome addition to the firm.
“We are delighted to have welcomed Nyrée to the team at a time when demand for our legal services is extremely high,” he said.
“People should always be keen to get their affairs in order, however, the much-discussed imminent reduction of inheritance tax relief for farmers and business owners has brought the importance of estate planning very sharply into focus.
“Nyrée is an experienced private client solicitor and has already proved to be very capable and popular with our clients.”
