The second annual Past, Fast and Future Autoshow proved to be a roaring success, drawing over 1,000 visitors for a spectacular day celebrating all things automotive. Held under glorious sunshine, the event showcased more than 150 vehicles, ranging from vintage classics and military machines to sleek supercars and motorbikes.

Organised by the Shrewsbury College Automotive Department, with invaluable support from students across both the automotive and business programmes, the event was a true community effort, with all proceeds raised going to Severn Hospice, a cause close to many hearts. Their hard work paid off, with all over £1,300 raised (and counting).

The show featured a vibrant mix of attractions, including:

  • Club displays from several enthusiast groups, adding colour and camaraderie to the day
  • Over 40 trade and car boot stalls
  • Family-friendly entertainment such as face painting, bouncy castles, and delicious food and ice cream vendors

Visitors were treated to a full spectrum of automotive history and innovation, making it a perfect day out for families, petrolheads, and curious newcomers alike.

“We’re thrilled with the turnout and the support from the community for such a worthwhile cause. The students did an incredible job planning and running the event and making it such a success. We can’t believe how popular it has become in such a short period of time and we’re already looking ahead to next year how we can make it bigger and better.” said Andy Lee, Director of Employer Engagement from Shrewsbury College.

"We are absolutely delighted to once again have the wonderful support of the students and staff at Shrewsbury Colleges Group. The Past and Present Car Show is a much-loved event, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be this year’s beneficiary. We are so grateful for the very kind and generous donation, which will help us continue providing vital hospice care services to so many local people who rely on our support." said Nicky Green, from Severn Hospice's fundraising team.
