Partners in Care, a Shropshire membership organisation for adult social care providers, which is now successfully extending its reach into Cheshire, has launched its prestigious care awards for 2025.
Partners in Care, based at Annscroft, near Shrewsbury, is a not-for-profit member organisation that represents about 280 independent nursing, residential, supported living and domiciliary care providers across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Cheshire.
The Partners in Care Excellence in Care Awards 2025, which cover a range of categories and nominations from members within the organisation, are now open. Awards will be presented at a special event in September which will also incorporate the Partners in Care annual conference and AGM.
David Crosby, Partners in Care Chief Officer, said: “We are delighted to launch our Excellence in Care Awards for 2025 - it is something really positive that promotes the care sector and the people working within it, and gives us the chance to celebrate the extraordinary level of care provided by Partners in Care members every day.
“Our Awards returned for the first time since Covid last year and were really well supported, attracting a strong entry of nearly 70 nominations. We have a number of categories open again this year - the majority of which are for individuals working for care providers.
“Entries are open to Partners in Care members. They can’t put themselves forward for an award but nominations can be made by colleagues, managers, employers, clients and service users.
“Category details, nomination forms and information packs are now available on our website at https://www.partnersincare.org.uk/news/188-partners-in-care-excellence-in-care-awards-2025 and we would love to see as many nominations put forward as possible.
“The Awards are a great way of recognising excellence while also helping us to raise awareness of the work we do within the care sector to those currently outside our membership organisation.
“The Awards will be judged by a panel of independent experts and will be presented at our annual conference on September 24th.”
Partners in Care was launched in 2003 and has firmly established itself as the local voice for the independent adult social care sector in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, representing members in discussions with local authorities and the NHS - benefits that are now also being experienced by a growing member base in Cheshire.
“We had operated successfully in Shropshire for 21 years and then, last year, decided to expand our operation into Cheshire,” said Mr Crosby. “It was something we had been looking at for a while because Cheshire care providers didn’t have a member organisation to represent them.
“Things have gone well, we are growing in Cheshire and we have a number of members now from the area. There is certainly a need for our expertise in the county and our hopes now are to continue our growth by attracting more members.”
