Vicki Wilson, founder of Vicki Admin Fairy®, based in Weston Rhyn, has been awarded Highly Commended Virtual Assistant of the Year 2025 at the West Midlands PA Forum Awards, held at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.

The award recognises outstanding performance across the business support profession in the region, and Vicki stood out for her exceptional client service, inclusive business model, and strong track record of growth.

After being made redundant from HMRC in 2020, Vicki started Vicki Admin Fairy® from her home, offering flexible and accessible admin support to small businesses. Today, her client base has grown to 15 businesses across the UK, many of whom are disabled or neurodivergent entrepreneurs who rely on her tailored, empathetic support.

“It’s such an honour to be recognised in a category filled with outstanding professionals,” said Vicki. “This journey started during a challenging time, and I never imagined it would lead to being celebrated at such a prestigious event. I'm proud to represent Shropshire and to support businesses of all sizes with admin they can trust.”

Vicki’s services span the full range of back-office support, including inbox and calendar management, social media scheduling, CRM implementation, systems setup, digital filing, and trademark applications. Her approach is known for being flexible, down-to-earth, and value-driven, making the admin feel accessible and manageable for busy business owners.

Judges commented on her professionalism, authenticity, and impact:

“Vicki Wilson is a brilliant example of balance and brilliance in the VA profession. With four years of experience under her belt, she runs her business with precision and personality. Her client base speaks volumes – diverse, loyal and full of glowing testimonials.”

“She has carved out a clear niche supporting neurodiverse clients, and her empathetic, knowledgeable approach is what makes her a standout. Whether networking, creating content or delivering client work, she brings strategy, confidence and heart.”

In addition to this recent recognition, Vicki has also been a finalist or award winner in the UK VA Awards, Strategic PA Awards, and Theo Paphitis’ #SBS Small Business Sunday campaign.

When she’s not working on client projects, she actively supports the small business community, mentoring fellow virtual assistants, co-founding a network for disabled entrepreneurs, and promoting accessible, flexible working.

What’s next?
Later this year, Vicki plans to launch a new service designed specifically for solopreneurs and small business owners. The offer will help streamline systems, reduce admin overwhelm, and empower business owners to focus on what they do best.
