A Shropshire-based construction firm, Pave Aways Ltd is set to host a Charity Ball next month in support of its chosen Charity of the Year, Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.
Taking place on Friday 12th September 2025 at Shrewsbury Croud Meadow Stadium, the event aims to bring together businesses from across the region for an evening of dining, entertainment, and fundraising in aid of the charity’s work across Shropshire and Mid Wales.
Guests will enjoy a three-course meal with drinks, live music from popular local band Something 4 the Weekend, and a charity auction packed with prizes and experiences donated by generous supporters. The evening will also include a moving talk from a representative of Lingen Davies, highlighting the impact of the charity’s work on those affected by cancer in the local area.
Tables of 10 are available to book, priced at £70 per person.
Managing Director of Pave-Aways, Steven Owen said, "Lingen Davies is a cause thats very close to our hearts, with one of our team members currently receiving support from the charity. The care Andy has received has been outstanding and has inspired a year-long fundraising campaign, culminating in this special event.”
Proceeds from the ball will go directly to the Lingen Davies Cancer Support to help fund early diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for cancer patients.
The event has received generous backing from local sponsors, including:
Shropshire Mixed Concrete (SMC) – Welcome drinks sponsor
Cartwrights Waste Disposal – Table drinks sponsor
Hatfields – Master of Ceremonies sponsor (featuring the brilliant Carl Jones!)
Pave-Aways – Entertainment and guest table sponsor
Organisers are appealing for auction prize donations from local businesses, whether in the form of products, experiences or vouchers.
