The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH) is calling on people to get sporty, challenge themselves, and make a real difference throughout 2026.

RJAH Charity is delighted to have been announced as a charity partner for the Chester Triple Medal Series, giving supporters a fantastic opportunity to take on a personal challenge while raising vital funds to support patients and staff at the Oswestry-based hospital.

The series includes three iconic events taking place across the year:

  • MBNA Chester 10K on 8 March
  • Essar Chester Half Marathon on 17 May
  • MBNA Chester Marathon or Metric Marathon on 11 October


RJAH Charity is inviting supporters of all abilities to get involved. Whether you’re an experienced runner, returning to fitness, or setting yourself a brand-new goal, their programme of sporting events throughout the year offers something for everyone.

One of the standout opportunities for 2026 is the Chester Triple Medal Series – the ultimate running challenge. The series is made up of three award winning races and welcomes runners of all abilities, including fun runners and charity participants.

Supporters can sign up to each race individually, choosing the events that suit them best. For those looking for the top challenge, completing all three races within the same calendar year earns the prestigious Chester Triple Medal – a fantastic gold medal and a real sense of achievement.

Runners can enter all three races at once or register for each event separately and build their training and confidence as the year goes on.

Each race features a lively city centre start and finish, with routes taking in Chester’s iconic landmarks and the beautiful Cheshire and North Wales countryside. The events are renowned for their electric atmosphere, with enthusiastic Cestrian supporters lining the course to cheer runners on all the way to the finish.
