Not-for-profit health cash plan provider Paycare has teamed up with Lockworks Cinema – Wolverhampton’s newest cultural venue – to help champion the city’s creative scene, support local communities, and inspire even more people to discover what the city has to offer.
Lockworks Cinema, located within the iconic Chubb Building, officially opened its doors in July 2025. With four art deco cinema screens, luxurious interiors, and flexible spaces for conferences, open mic nights, and special events, the venue was founded with a mission to further establish Wolverhampton as a thriving, credible city for cinema and wider cultural experiences.
Darryl Griffiths, Duty Manager at Lockworks Cinema, said: “We launched Lockworks with a vision not just to show films, but to build a cultural hub for the people of Wolverhampton that offers a diverse range of arts, events, and creative experiences. From day one, we’ve wanted to collaborate with organisations who share our passion for our city and the communities within it, and having initially connected with the team at Paycare, it was clear that our values aligned.”
The partnership will see Paycare and Lockworks working closely to promote Wolverhampton’s cultural offering, share ideas, and broaden engagement across the city. Lockworks is also developing a range of exclusive offers specifically for Paycare Policyholders, providing more families, individuals, and workplaces with opportunities to enjoy everything the venue has to offer.
Ant Burns, CEO of Paycare, said: “Wolverhampton has so much to offer, and the launch of Lockworks Cinema marks an exciting new chapter for the city. Working together will allow us to reach more people, create new opportunities for our Policyholders, and celebrate the incredible creative spaces and businesses that make Wolverhampton a truly vibrant place to live, work, and visit.”
The collaboration reinforces Paycare’s long-standing commitment to supporting community organisations across the region, and Lockworks’ ambition to ensure Wolverhampton remains firmly on the cultural map.
