Paycare has announced a new partnership with Shropshire Festivals, becoming the organisation’s official Health & Wellbeing Partner for 2026 - with a particular focus on supporting the volunteers who power some of the county’s most successful events.

The collaboration will see Paycare championing the health and wellbeing of the hundreds of volunteers who help deliver Shropshire Festival’s flagship events including the Shrewsbury Food Festival and Shropshire Oktoberfest, which together attract more than 36,000 visitors and generate significant economic value for the region.

Ant Burns, CEO of Paycare, said: “Shropshire Festivals plays a vital role in strengthening our local economy, supporting small businesses, and bringing communities together.  None of that would be possible without the volunteers who give their time and energy to make these events such a success.

“We’re incredibly proud to support the team as this year’s Health & Wellbeing Partner.  As a not‑for‑profit with deep roots in the region, we’re committed to helping people access everyday healthcare and wellbeing support - and this partnership allows us to extend that commitment to a new audience while celebrating the people who make these events happen.”

As part of the partnership, Paycare will sponsor the volunteer programme and provide wellbeing resources, guidance, and on‑site support throughout the festival season. The Paycare brand will be visible across event communications, volunteer t‑shirts, digital channels, and festival sites, with opportunities to engage directly with local businesses, families, and community groups.

Shropshire Festivals Director of Fun, Beth Heath, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Paycare on board.  Their values align perfectly with ours - community, care, and creating positive experiences for local people.  Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our events, and having Paycare champion their wellbeing is something we’re incredibly excited about.”

The partnership also reflects Paycare’s long‑standing commitment to supporting regional employers. With many organisations continuing to reassess their wellbeing strategies in 2026, the collaboration offers a timely opportunity to highlight the role Health Cash Plans can play in boosting retention, reducing absence, and strengthening workforce resilience.

Ant added: “Healthy, happy people build stronger businesses and stronger communities.  By supporting Shropshire Festivals and their volunteers, we’re helping to create memorable experiences for thousands of residents - and ensuring the people behind the scenes feel valued and supported.”

Now in its 152nd year, Paycare continues to support individuals, families, and workplaces across the UK through its range of Health Cash Plans, designed to make every day healthcare more accessible and affordable.
