Salop Leisure has reported an increase in caravan sales and record bookings at Love2Stay, thanks to the recent sunshine that Spring has brought.
Salop Leisure’s sales have increased by 12% on last year, alongside an increase in enquiries and footfall. Bookings at the on-site caravan site and glamping village, Love2Stay are up 8% on last year as well.
Ed Glover, Head of Marketing at Salop Leisure, said, “The warmer, longer days and spring sunshine have helped our customers start thinking about holidaying. It’s been great to welcome lots of new and returning customers to our Shrewsbury base to see our extensive range.
“There is so much doom and gloom in the news at the moment, so we encourage you to take your mind off it and start planning your UK holidays. Whether you are interested in touring or holiday home ownership, our team can provide all the advice you need.”
The 250 caravan parks that Salop Leisure works with across England and Wales all reopened on March 1st.
Ed adds, “Owning a touring caravan, motorhome, or a static caravan on one of our sites gives you the freedom to holiday on your terms, without the fear of cancelled flights or lack of availability. I think we will see more people opting for UK holidays this year, with the reliability that brings.”
A recent survey from Visit England indicated that 12.5 million Brits are planning an overnight holiday trip in the UK for the Easter weekend, an increase on last year’s 10.6 million figure, bringing an estimated £4.8 billion boost to the economy.
