Scott Risk Management (SRM) is pleased to confirm that its Managing Director, Liam Scott, has been awarded Chartered Fellow status (CFIOSH) by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Chartered Fellowship represents the highest level of IOSH membership and is awarded following a detailed portfolio submission and peer review process. It recognises sustained leadership, influence, and contribution to the health and safety profession beyond day-to-day practice.
Liam’s career in health and safety spans 20 years, working across a range of sectors including construction, research and development, manufacturing, and high-risk environments. Over that time, his focus has remained consistent—supporting organisations to implement practical, proportionate, and defensible health and safety management systems.
Through SRM, this approach has evolved into a blended model of consultancy and digital support, most notably through the development of the SRM Genie platform. Genie has been recognised through multiple industry awards, reflecting its role in helping SMEs simplify compliance, improve visibility, and maintain consistent standards without adding administrative burden.
Alongside core consultancy and system development, Liam continues to contribute to the wider profession and business community. This includes:
- Supporting Meeting Point House (MPH) through governance and health and safety oversight
- Delivering free online CPD sessions focused on practical application of health and safety management
- Producing accessible content through the SRM StaySafe Podcast, including toolbox talk (TBT) series aimed at frontline teams
- Mentoring junior managers and supervisors as they transition into leadership roles, helping them develop confidence and capability in managing health and safety responsibilities
- Providing broader business leadership support to SME clients, recognising the close link between operational management and effective risk control
Speaking on the achievement, Liam commented:
“Fellowship is a significant milestone for me professionally. It reflects not just the work I’ve done personally, but the direction we’ve taken as a business, focusing on practical support, consistency, and making health and safety more accessible for organisations that don’t always have in-house resource.”
He added:
“The focus remains the same. Continuing to support clients in a way that works in practice, not just on paper.”
This recognition further strengthens SRM’s position as a trusted partner for organisations seeking clear, effective, and proportionate health and safety support.
