Mechanical, electrical and plumbing services specialist Penguin MEP has signed an 10 year lease on The Depot as its new premises in Frankwell, Shrewsbury.

Founded in 2016, Penguin MEP is relocating from Hartley Business Centre to secure larger and more flexible accommodation to support the company’s continued growth. The move sees the business take occupation of The Depot, a characterful and versatile commercial building located just off Frankwell and within easy walking distance of Shrewsbury town centre.

Owned and managed by Morris Property, the Depot offers 4,140 ft2 of office and storage accommodation, benefitting from a light and airy upper floor that has undergone recent refurbishment, including upgraded glazing to maximise natural light. The lower floor provides workshop and storage space, complemented by a secure enclosed rear yard, offering valuable operational flexibility.

Penguin MEP plans to deliver a modern office fit‑out to the upper floor, with the lower storage areas supporting day‑to‑day operations. A number of future sustainability initiatives are also planned, including the installation of EV chargers and solar panels.
