Telford law firm mfg Solicitors has raised £3,774 for Severn Hospice after completing this year’s Pontesbury Potter charity walk.

The 13-mile walk in March, which marked the event’s 30th anniversary, saw solicitors and support staff from the sponsoring law firm joining hundreds of others in the Shropshire countryside to raise vital funds for the hospice, which provides free specialist care and support to thousands of families across Shropshire and Mid Wales every year.

The fundraising, which was topped up by £2,000 through the firm’s mfg Charitable Foundation, was led by its Telford CSR Committee of Danielle Fenn, Katie Hardwick and Jack Robinson, who chose Severn Hospice as the office’s charity for this financial year.

Katie Hardwick from mfg Solicitors said: “This was a special event marking the 30th year of the walk, and it really was fantastic to see so many people taking part.”

“It was a tough walk, but everyone had great fun and enjoyed the amazing views Shropshire has to offer. We’re delighted to have raised £3,774, which will go towards helping the team at Severn Hospice continue to offer so many support services to individuals and families across the county. It means so much to us all to play our part.”

Holly Gibbons from Severn Hospice added: “We’d like to thank everyone at mfg Solicitors not only for being the main sponsor for the milestone event this year, but for raising such an amazing total.

“It was a truly memorable event and one that will live long in the memory of everyone who took part.

“Along with so many others, mfg’s support raises vital funds, helping us deliver specialist, compassionate care to families across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales to their loved ones living with incurable illnesses.”
