A youth charity in Shropshire is celebrating a major milestone after being awarded the highly respected National Youth Agency Quality Mark - becoming the only organisation in the Midlands to achieve the distinction.

The news comes as SYA officially rebrands to All About Youth, a refreshed identity designed to better reflect the charity’s work across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and beyond, while positioning the organisation for the next decade of youth work.

All About Youth supports young people through youth clubs, activities, training and targeted programmes, helping create safe spaces where young people can build confidence, develop skills and feel valued.

The NYA Quality Mark is a nationally recognised benchmark that assesses the quality and effectiveness of youth organisations. Achieving it places All About Youth among the leading providers of youth services in the country.

The organisation says the recognition reflects both the quality of its youth work and its commitment to empowering young people through access to high-quality, affordable and tailored youth provision.

Charlotte Cain, trustee for All About Youth, said: “For us, the NYA Quality Mark isn’t just a credential making us best in class in the Midlands - it’s evidence that when young people are empowered to enjoy what they do and are backed by reliable, high-quality support, they are better positioned to pursue and sustain life-changing opportunities, enjoyment and employment.

“It’s a timely recognition as we launch All About Youth, a new identity that better reflects who we are today and where we want to go in the future.

“We have kept our roots firmly in our communities while creating a clearer, more future-ready organisation that can expand services, reach more young people and respond to the growing need for youth provision across the region.

“We are looking to forge closer ties with local authorities, voluntary groups and businesses to increase youth provision and participation. If anyone would like to get involved as a supporter, partner or patron of the charity, we would love to hear from them as we embark on delivering the next decade of youth work.”

Richard Parkes, chief executive of All About Youth, added: “We are incredibly proud to receive the NYA Quality Mark. This award reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers and partners, and most importantly, the amazing young people we work with every day.

“Being the only organisation in the Midlands to achieve this standard is a huge honour and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality youth services across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

“While our name and look are evolving, our purpose remains exactly the same - ensuring young people feel safe, valued and supported, and helping them build brighter futures through youth work.”

All About Youth provides a wide range of youth clubs, activities and support services for young people across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities.
