Eaton Manor Country Estate is celebrating a significant milestone this June, marking 25 years of welcoming guests to its award-winning countryside retreat near Church Stretton.
Founded in 2001, the holiday cottage business began with just one property – The Manor House – sleeping nine guests. Over the past quarter century, it has grown into a thriving rural hospitality destination, now offering eight self-catering cottages accommodating up to 56 guests, alongside a dedicated events venue for weddings, retreats, corporate events and family celebrations.
This growth reflects not only the increasing demand for high-quality, self-catering accommodation, but also Eaton Manor’s commitment to providing a relaxing and memorable experience in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. Many guests return year after year, contributing to a strong sense of community built around the business.
To celebrate this milestone, the Eaton Manor team recently came together for a special event on-site. Held on a sunny day, the occasion included a relaxed lunch, catered by local company Oak Apple Catering, providing an opportunity for current team members to reflect on the journey so far.
The celebration was made even more meaningful by the return of former team members who had played an important role in Eaton Manor’s development over the years. Their presence highlighted the strong relationships and sense of continuity that underpin the business.
A particular highlight of the day was a beautifully crafted celebration cake, baked and decorated by Abi, a member of the Eaton Manor team, adding a personal touch to the occasion.
In a creative end to the event, the team worked together to produce a bespoke row of handmade bunting spelling out “Eaton Manor 25 Years”, symbolising both the milestone and the collaborative spirit of the business.
As part of the celebrations, Eaton Manor’s owner, Nichola Cariss, was presented with a unique piece of bespoke artwork portraying her journey over the past 25 years. The artwork captured key moments and reflected the dedication and vision that have shaped the business from its beginnings to the present day.
Looking ahead, Eaton Manor remains focused on continuing to provide a high-quality events venue, luxury accommodation and exceptional guest experiences, while contributing to the local tourism economy.
Nichola said:
“Reaching 25 years is a wonderful moment for us. We’re incredibly grateful to our team, our guests and the wider community for their support over the years. Eaton Manor has always been about creating a place where people can get together and make treasured memories, and we look forward to welcoming many more guests in the years ahead.”
