June 23rd's mighty fundraising extravaganza for The Movement Centre, was a great success.
The Health and Performance event on The Shrewsbury Business Park, was the first of its kind. PCB Solicitors LLP, Throgmorton Associates Wealth Management Ltd and WR Partners UK all participated. Collectively, more than £1,000 was raised for the children and families The Movement Centre support.
Radio Shropshire recorded the start of the day for prosperity. This added a generous dose of excitement!
Rachel, from Rachel Kili Physiotherapy ran the event. She shared simple strategies to boost physical, emotional and cognitive health. Attendees benefitted from bite-sized practical nuggets to help look after their body and brain, while at work.
Enthusiastic participation with movements, posture adjustments and stretches, resulted in an immediate sense of feeling more relaxed, focused and happier.
Rachel was delighted by the level of engagement and interest with each of the workshops she led. The combination of fundraising, learning and laughter made the event particularly special.
Rachel chose The Movement Centre because the services they provide are very close to her heart. They deliver specialist physiotherapy for children with movement disabilities, free of charge. They help children gain head control, the ability to sit, stand and walk, which transforms their lives and those of their families.
A loud shout out of thanks to everyone who helped make the day happen. This event raised both vital funds and awareness for the charity's important work while improving the health and performance of those participating. Despite the epic heat, it was an inspiring and energising day!
