An established Shrewsbury car dealership has secured high-quality premises at the town's Stadium Point Business Park to be its new vehicle preparation centre as part of an expansion.

Volvo Cars Shrewsbury, based at Old Potts Way, has completed the letting of Units 3 and 4 at Morris Property's prime 28-acre site, off Oteley Road in Shrewsbury, providing the company with additional premises.

Chris Carr, the owner of Volvo Cars Shrewsbury, said the opening of its new vehicle preparation centre next month represents continued growth for the company.

He added: "Due to expansion we needed to find somewhere for our internal preparation of cars. We are so busy at the Volvo site that we needed to find an additional unit, creating more space and more workshop capacity.

"We are going to take our technical team there to do all of our internal work, so before customers take delivery of a new car or a used car it will be prepared there.

"Stadium Point is a great location right behind the football ground off Oteley Road, with Units 3 and 4 really visible when you drive into the development.

"It's a blank canvas for us because it's a brand new build, and it's also only a mile from where we already are."

Toby Shaw, a partner at Towler Shaw Roberts, handled the letting of the newly-built property to Volvo Cars Shrewsbury, alongside completing the sale of Units 3 and 4 - which extends in total to 7,964 ft - to a local investor as an attractive investment acquisition.

He said: "Volvo Cars Shrewsbury recognised Stadium Point Business Park as being ideal for their requirements, and the company's new vehicle preparation centre will be another excellent addition to Morris Property's flagship development.

"Units 3 and 4 will provide the company with the necessary space required for their exciting expansion, with this new facility running alongside Volvo Cars Shrewsbury's showroom at Old Potts Way.

"Stadium Point continues to attract high levels of interest from investors and occupiers with its flexible and high-quality units, strategic location just off the A5 bypass on the south side of Shrewsbury, as well as energy-efficient build quality.

"It's a very attractive commercial location which is proving to be a particularly impressive addition to the town."
